Route 66 Film Festival nominates Iran’s ‘Cloudy Man’

Iranian short flick ‘Cloudy Man’ has succeeded to receive a nomination at the 2022 Route 66 Film Festival, currently underway in the US.  

Written and directed by Shahin Jalali, ‘Cloudy Man’ received a nomination for the best foreign film at the 2022 edition of the American screening event.

‘Cloudy Man’ tells the story of a man facing some unexpected events.

The cast list of the flick includes Mahmoud Nazaralian, Akbar Sadeqi, Ardeshir Zahed, Hamdollah Salimi, Rasoul Alinejad and Mohammad Faraji.

‘Cloudy Man’ has already taken part in a number of global events, including the 26th Busan Int’l Film Festival in South Korea, the 8th Iranian Film Festival of Zurich in Switzerland, the 2022 Global University Film Awards in Hong Kong, the 13th Baku Int’l Short Film Festival in the Republic of Azerbaijan and the 15th Grand OFF World Independent Film Awards in Poland, where it was nominated for best actor in a short film award.

Beginning in November 2002, the Route 66 Film Festival is an annual film festival located in Springfield, the capital city of Illinois.

The festival kicked off on November 04 and will be running until November 14 entirely online. An in-person screening of award-winning films will be held on November 12, 2022.
